Dad is Good all the Time
Our vision is to build healthy communities around the world by helping fathers bring heaven home. The Eleemosynary Genius operates "kata tes graphes" (according to Scripture, see 1 Cor 15:3-4), embodying Christ's words: "I am the vine, you are the branches" (John 15:5). Through this connection, fathers are empowered to provide resources, guidance, and encouragement rooted in God's Word.
This imagery connects with our mission to empower fathers and mothers everywhere to selflessly lead their families and communities to robust wholeness through training, mentoring, and networking. Like a vine-dresser who tends with foresight and skill, we help transform trials into opportunities for growth, learning, and deeper community by applying biblical truth as the ultimate authority.
The Heart of Selfless Leadership
At its core, our approach represents the Scripture-driven rescuer whose actions flow from "kata tes graphes." This personality drives the restoration of family relationships and rebuilds boundaries broken by neglect or carelessness - guided by divine revelation rather than human wisdom. We equip fathers whose leadership manifests through mentorship and whose approach to family challenges begins with spiritual wisdom filtered through Scripture's lens.

This gift sets our community apart - the ability to see family life through the lens of Scripture and offer biblical comfort to those who need it most. Beyond mere empathy, we cultivate a driving force to take action "kata tes graphes," refusing to give up when confronted with challenges. Fathers become messengers of Christ who, through Scripture-driven intervention, reclaim what was lost and lead their families toward wholeness.
Biblical Models of Fatherhood
Jesus' parable of the Good Samaritan perfectly illustrates the Scripture-driven father in action. While others pass by those in need, the father with this heart demonstrates deep compassion by addressing both immediate needs and underlying causes of distress. His intervention not only heals wounds but restores dignity and self-respect, exemplifying the love commanded in Scripture.
King David represents another powerful example of fatherly leadership. From his courage as the shepherd boy who defeated Goliath "in the name of the LORD of hosts" (1 Samuel 17:45) to his leadership as Israel's king, David consistently demonstrated commitment to protecting the vulnerable and establishing justice according to God's law despite his personal flaws.
David and Goliath, also known as David with the Head of Goliath or David Victorious over Goliath, is an oil painting by the Italian Baroque master Caravaggio. It was painted around 1600, and is held in the Museo del Prado, Madrid....
Contemporary Examples
Our vision of building healthy communities continues to manifest in contemporary contexts. Through training, mentoring and networking, we address the needs of families in crisis by equipping fathers with the tools to lead with strength and compassion - all guided by the biblical mandate to "do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God" (Micah 6:8).
Individual examples include rescuers who, like Desmond Doss of Hacksaw Ridge fame, demonstrate unwavering courage in protecting their fellow platoon mates, and those who, like Mother Teresa, serve with selfless love the ‘poorest of the poor’. These individuals demonstrate our mission in action - using gifts of compassion, empathy, and problem-solving to make lasting positive change according to biblical principles.
Fathers for "Such a Time as This"
In times of family and cultural crisis, the Scripture-driven father emerges as key persons of influence - like Esther who was prepared "for such a time as this" (Esther 4:14). These key persons of influence (KPI’s) stand ready when immediate action is required, serving as interventionists who heal relationships and mend broken hearts - always guided by "kata tes graphes" as the bedrock of their purpose.
This special calling mirrors God's mercy as described in Lamentations 3:22-23: "Through the LORD's mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness." It embodies the spirit of Isaiah 58:12, with fathers becoming "the Repairer of the Breach, The Restorer of Streets to Dwell In" - a Scripture-driven mission that transforms families and communities according to God's revealed Word.
Our Framework for Transformation
Our vision and mission offer a valuable framework for understanding how fathers can excel in addressing family needs according to biblical truth. By recognising and cultivating this gift "kata tes graphes," we gain deeper insights into how fathers can direct their talents toward creating healthy homes and communities in alignment with God's purposes.
We believe that building healthy communities requires collaborative effort according to Scripture, with each family member playing a unique role. Like the biblical "man of peace" described in Luke 10 and Matthew 10, the father serves as an anchor for hope and healing, demonstrating the profound impact one person can have in bringing restoration to a broken world when operating from the foundation of "kata tes graphes."
The Foundation in Scripture
The Scripture-driven nature of our vision and mission finds its ultimate expression in the foundational passage of 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, where Paul establishes the core of the gospel message: "For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures."
This passage introduces a revolutionary paradigm for families - everything about Christ's redemptive work happened "kata tes graphes" (according to the Scriptures). The repeated phrase "in accordance with the Scriptures" serves as the foundation upon which healthy families are built, anchoring their practices not in cultural trends but in divine revelation fulfilled.
Jesus' life of selfless service exemplifies the Scripture-driven leader in its purest form. Though His sacrifice appeared as defeat by worldly standards, His death fulfilled prophecies throughout Israel's sacred texts. The suffering servant passages in Isaiah 53 vividly portray this reality: "He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief... Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows... He was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities."
As the Lamb of God prophesied to take away the sins of the world (John 1:29), Christ fulfilled the ancient Passover narrative, becoming the perfect sacrifice that the yearly ritual had always pointed toward. This sacrificial leadership establishes the pattern for fathers who seek to bring heaven home to their families.
Paul's description of Christ as the "Last Adam" (1 Corinthians 15:45) further illustrates this Scripture-driven life. Where the first Adam brought dysfunction through disobedience, the Last Adam brought restoration through perfect obedience to Scripture. As Jesus declared in John 10:18, He laid down His life of His own accord for the sake of His friends - the ultimate expression of the selfless leadership we cultivate in fathers.
This pattern establishes a new template for families. Those transformed by Christ's sacrifice are now called to likewise live Scripture-driven lives "kata tes graphes" - according to the same Scriptures that guided their Savior. As Paul writes in Galatians 2:20, "I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."
The early church understood this paradigm shift. Their communal life, described in Acts 2:42-47, was shaped by devotion to apostolic teaching grounded in Scripture. Their generosity, fellowship, and worship flowed from a Scripture-driven understanding of Christ's sacrifice. This same pattern becomes the foundation for healthy families and communities in our vision.
This Scripture-driven paradigm transforms how we understand family leadership. True intervention isn't merely about addressing immediate family needs but about participating in God's redemptive story revealed in Scripture. When fathers lead "kata tes graphes," they join the divine narrative that began in Genesis, reached its climax at Calvary, and continues through families as living epistles of Christ's love in the world.

At the heart of our mission is empowering fathers and mothers to selflessly lead their families and communities toward robust wholeness. The 7Modalities framework (7modalities.com) serves as our foundational approach, recognising that parental leadership expresses itself through distinct pathways:
Creative-Intuitive: Parents who nurture imagination and artistic expression in their families
Analytic-Systematic: Parents who establish logical frameworks and organised learning environments
Relational-Connective: Parents who excel in building meaningful connections and strong community ties
Practical-Tactical: Parents who implement tangible strategies for family and community growth
Innovative-Entrepreneurial: Parents who pioneer new solutions and create value systems for future generations
Visual-Spatial: Parents who utilise visual and spatial intelligence in teaching and leading
Verbal-Linguistic: Parents who cultivate rich language-based communication in their homes
Through training, mentoring, and networking, this framework has transformed how we approach family leadership development, recognising that divine calling manifests uniquely through these modalities rather than through standardised parenting approaches.
Contextual Education
Gerard & Lianne’s most significant contribution to theological education is the Seminary Gate model, which places the local church at the center of the educational ecosystem. This approach departs from traditional seminary models by:
Embedding theological training in active ministry contexts: Rather than separating academic study from practical application, learning occurs within functioning ministry environments
Prioritising family literacies: Recognising the family unit as the fundamental building block of both church and society, Gerard has developed curricula that strengthen intergenerational knowledge transfer
Localising theological reflection: Gerard champions contextual theology that addresses specific cultural and community challenges rather than importing Western theological frameworks uncritically
Under Gerard's leadership alongside his wife Rev. Lianne, King's College Seminary has established partnership hubs throughout Southeast Asia, creating a network of Seminary Gates where local churches become centers for theological education, community development, and cultural transformation.
